My name is Roheen Sultani, currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems Security at SAIT, where I am establishing a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and methodologies. I possess significant experience in implementing information system security measures and addressing intricate computer-related challenges. My expertise is rooted in a comprehensive understanding of network protocols, web application security, and data protection, utilizing a range of advanced tools. In an ever-evolving field, I excel at staying proactive by welcoming new challenges and innovations in cybersecurity. I have a strong foundation in network security, with expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS, along with implementing network segmentation for enhanced security. I am proficient in monitoring and analyzing network traffic using tools like Wireshark and Ettercap to identify potential threats and troubleshoot issues. Additionally, I have experience in endpoint security, securing devices with antivirus, antimalware, and encryption technologies, and implementing hardening strategies to protect against unauthorized access and malware.
My skills extend to vulnerability management, where I conduct assessments using tools like Nessus and OpenVAS to identify and remediate security weaknesses. I am also well-versed in operating system security, securing Windows and Linux environments through hardening techniques and patch management. In penetration testing, I utilize tools like Metasploit, msfvenom, and Burp Suite to assess system defenses, identify vulnerabilities, and perform ethical hacking. This diverse skill set, supported by a range of industry-standard tools, allows me to comprehensively address security challenges in various environments.

I am currently a student at SAIT, pursuing a diploma in Information Systems Security, with an expected graduation date of August 2025. I have earned certifications in Networking Basics from Cisco, Palo Alto Cybersecurity Foundation from Coursera, and AWS Cloud Technical Essentials.
As part of my continuous learning journey, I am preparing to obtain CompTIA Security+, CySA+, and Pentest+ certifications to further solidify my expertise in cybersecurity and penetration testing. My focus is on enhancing my skills in network security, cloud infrastructure, and threat detection, with a goal of contributing to the cybersecurity industry upon graduation.
Upcoming project
SIEM Implementation and Optimization: This project involves deploying and optimizing a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution to enhance real-time threat detection and incident response capabilities. I will focus on aggregating logs from multiple sources, creating correlation rules, and designing dashboards for security monitoring and analysis
Web Application Vulnerability Scanning with Burp Suite: In this project, I will perform in-depth vulnerability assessments on web applications using Burp Suite. The focus will be on identifying common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS), alongside conducting manual testing and providing detailed reporting on the findings
